About Us

Who we are:
Community Alliance and Reinvestment Endeavor, Inc. (CARE) is a faith-based non-profit community
development corporation that serves to rejuvenate families and individuals in Reading’s Sixth Ward district.
This area is home to nearly 4,500 city residents with the highest concentration of minority and low income.

Originally founded in 1984, as a neighborhood outreach arm of Holy Trinity Church of God, CARE’s programs and services continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the community. CARE offers community services regardless of race, gender, disability, economic status or religious affiliation. We believe by meeting community needs, we are changing lives.
